ICPN1 - First Fix for Commercial Pipework












Assessment Information

The course is for experienced operatives who wish to undertake installation first fix of pipework.



Candidates must hold either the Core Commercial Gas Safety (COCN1) qualification or the Changeover Domestic to Commercial Gas Safety (CODNCO1) qualification.

ICPN1 LS - First Fix Commercial Pipework Limited Scope

Assessment Information

ICPN1LS is for a pipefitter who ONLY installs natural gas commercial pipework up to 150mm / 6” diameter that is not connected to a gas supply.

ICPN1LS assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative in first fixing of commercial installation pipework but doesn't connect to a live gas supply.

  • Assessment only 1 day
  • You will need to bring with you

  • Candidate name and address
  • Candidate National Insurance number
  • 2 passport sized photographs
  • Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of gas work experience
  • A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
  • First-time applicants will also be required to provide an acceptable  form of photographic identification e.g. a passport or driving licence
