A 1/2 day course designed for plumbers, gas engineers and heating installers who need to develop an awareness of the risks relating to asbestos which may be
present in the workplace.
The course covers asbestos types, asbestos legislation and protection methods for prevention of contracting asbestos related
diseases.
This Asbestos Awareness training course can be
for anyone who works with, or might potentially come into contact with asbestos at work. It looks at what asbestos is, what an Asbestos Management Plan is; it considers some of the major diseases
associated with working with asbestos and the effects they have on the human body; and it covers what you should do if you are ever accidentally exposed.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Learn about what the law says about asbestos
- Learn about what you should do if you disturb small and/or large amounts or asbestos
- Understand the steps to take to reduce and remove the risks at work
