CIMT1 L/S Gas Metering Instrumentation

Install service and fault find Gas Metering Instrumentation for operatives limited scope 

 An assessment to extend an operatives scope of work to include limited gas work on meter instrumentation for gas meters with a range >6m3/hr, operating at pressures not exceeding 75 bar.

Topic Areas Covered:

• Gas Safety Legislation and Standards.

• Gas Emergency actions and procedures.

• Installation of pipe work and fittings (pipe work within the meter installation and other pipe work).

• Tightness testing and purging.

• Unsafe situations, use of emergency notices and warning labels.

• Operation and positioning of emergency isolation controls and valves.

• Ventilation for meter housing .

• Re-establish existing gas supply and re-light appliances.

Course Duration 2 day

This course can be training and assessment or assessment only.

• Candidate name and address
• Candidate National Insurance number
• 2 passport sized photographs
• Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of gas work experience
• A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
• First-time applicants will also be required to provide an acceptable  form of photographic identification e.g. a passport or driving licence
