Information
This is a nationally recognised
qualification in the installation and maintenance of small scale solar photovoltaic systems. The qualification is developed from the National Occupational Standards and is recognised by
the Micro-generation Certification Scheme (MCS) registration bodies as an acceptable qualification to join one of their respective schemes.

Pre-requisites
Trainees should hold a formal craft
qualification e.g. N/SVQ 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) or equivalent earlier certification that includes Inspection & Testing or a recognised Part P competence
certification that includes Inspection & Testing and a BS 7671: 2008 Requirements for Electrical Installations (17th Edition) qualification.
