CoDC1 - Changeover Core Domestic to Core Commercial Catering

Assessment Information

This assessment is designed to test the gas safety competence of an operative intending to extend the work range from domestic natural gas appliances to include natural gas commercial catering appliances.

This is designed to allow domestic based engineers to move into commercial catering without duplicating any of the core work activities done during their domestic gas training. It's linked with COCATA1 which is a changeover from domestic appliances to commercial catering appliances. Candidates will learn all safety aspects of commercial catering gas safety that are different from those encountered CCN1.

 

Course Content

This assessment comprises of 2 core competencies:

  • Ventilation and combustion – related to commercial catering appliances
  • Installation of pipework and fittings for commercial catering appliances

 

Pre-requisite

  • Domestic Core Gas Safety Assessment - CCN1

 

Course Duration

  • 3 days

This course can be training and assessment or assessment only.

  • You will need to bring with you

  • Candidate name and address
  • Candidate National Insurance number
  • 2 passport sized photographs
  • Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of gas work experience
  • A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
  • First-time applicants will also be required to provide an acceptable  form of photographic identification e.g. a passport or driving licence
