Vacancy: Heating Engineer

 

Moorhouse Heating Ltd require an Oxfordshire based domestic heating engineer to join their expanding team of commercial and domestic gas and oil heating engineers. We are an established domestic and commercial heating company specialising in the service, repair and installation of gas and oil boilers. The position will involve boiler servicing, repairs, boiler installation and general maintenance to heating systems

 

What we require

• Experience in domestic gas boiler servicing, repair and installation (oil boiler experiences an advantage)

• Tidy appearance

• No criminal record (we are DBS checked)

Plumbing Lecturer 

Oxford Energy Academy are looking for a Plumbing lecturer / tutor / teacher to deliver Plumbing courses to a diverse group of learners within our training centre. As a Lecturer within our centre you will help to develop a strong Plumbing programme that meets the needs of the learners/ candidates

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated lecturer / tutor / teacher to deliver high learner success, through effective teaching and delivery in Plumbing. This vacancy would suit a highly motivated Plumbing teacher, with a can-do approach to education. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and creative lecturer, who can thrive upon working within a challenging yet rewarding environment, who can offer skills & knowledge to our learners and guide them throughout their courses.

Location: Oxford Energy Academy Witney
Hours: 9.00am -5.00pm Mon-Fri + One evening/week 6.00pm-9.00pm
Salary £32,500 per annum

Oxford Energy Academy is training centre with approximately 130 apprentices working towards level 2 and level 3 plumbing and gas qualifications. Also, we train the full range of Gas ACS courses and short plumbing courses e.g. Unvented, Water regulations, Oftec, etc.

As a successful candidate you will:

 

  • Hold a relevant qualification (level 3 or above) in Plumbing.
  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed) or willing to work towards
  • Hold relevant assessor/verifier awards, or willing to work towards
  • Have vocational experience in relevant subject area and relevant up-to-date knowledge.
  • Have a proven track record of managing and supporting diverse groups of learners through nationally accredited programmes.
  • Developing and sharing innovative and creative teaching resources
  • Have experience of working with students who may have little experience of education and training (desirable).
  • Have knowledge of current curriculum and accreditation developments within Further Education and specific subject area(s).
  • Have the ability to teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners and willing to explore new teaching and learning strategies.
  • Have good IT skills and willing to develop further.
  • Show accuracy and precision in written presentation.
