Qualification Title      QCF –  Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment (601/0529/X)

 

Assessment Information

This is a nationally recognised qualification developed in consultation with Asset Skills and the Department for Communities and Local Government, for individuals who wish to pursue a career as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).

This qualification is recognised within industry and once qualified, the DEA will register with an accreditation scheme that will accredit them to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for dwellings in accordance with the EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings.

H/503/8162 Conduct energy assessments in a safe, effective and professional manner

K/503/8163 Prepare for Energy Assessments of Domestic property

J/504/0924 Produce and explain Energy Performance Certificates relating to Domestic Property

T/503/8165 Undertake Energy Inspections

 

Pre-requisites

Prospective learners should have experience working in the building sector

Assessments consist of a combination of practical and theory examinations, and onsite portfolio

Qualification Title     QCF – Level 3 Diploma in Green Deal Advice – 600/6277/0

 

Assessment Information

This is a nationally recognised qualification developed in consultation with Asset Skills and the Department for Communities and Local Government, for people who wish to pursue a career as a Green Deal Advisor (GDA). A qualified GDA can undertake energy calculations on existing dwellings to produce a Green Deal Advice Report (GDAR). GDAs can only produce a GDAR if they are affiliated with a certified Green Deal Advice Organisation.

R/503/8187 Prepare and issue domestic Green Deal Advice Reports

T/503/8179 Provide information to customers on the principles, financing and operation of the Green Deal

L/503/8186 Undertake occupancy assessments and give advice
