CPA1 - Flue Gas Analyser

Assessment Information

 

Due to the amount of high efficiency condensing boilers and flueless fires now being installed, many manufacturers require the use of a flue gas analyser to complete commissioning, servicing and repairs on there appliances .

CPA1 is a Bpec approved ACS Assessment with the training and understanding of the combustion process. It is an essential course for all heating and gas engineer wishing to commission or maintain today's appliances.

 

Course content

 

The Gas Industry Unsafe Situation category given to gas appliances that fail to reach a satisfactory combustion performance and the understanding of action levels for gas appliances

 

Corrective action required if CO/CO2 ratio levels remain above suitable performance levels after adjustment.

 

Requirements for commissioning, servicing and testing appliances when new components have been fitted.

 

Additional allowances for CO levels for gas cooker hotplates.

 

Course Duration

 

CPA1 comprises of 1/2 a days training and assessment

 

Including:

Written assessment paper and Practical assessment

 

  • You will need to bring with you

  • Candidate name and address
  • Candidate National Insurance number
  • 2 passport sized photographs
  • Copies of relevant qualifications and/or evidence of gas work experience
  • A declaration of the category for the individual making the application
  • First-time applicants will also be required to provide an acceptable  form of photographic identification e.g. a passport or driving licence
